This week in science we went over the types of heating there are like radiation, convection, conduction. Radiation is the process of heating in the form of waves. An example is an x-ray because the light emits radiation and it goes through your body and shows your bones. Convection is heating through the movement of fluids. An example of this is boiling water because the water in the middle of the pot heats up causing the particles to move faster then the water rises and then cools and falls. Conduction is heating thruogh touch. An example of this is a spoon touching a burner the burner particles are vibrating very fast causing collisions with the spoon particles then the spoon heats up. On Wednesday we had a snow day. On Thursday we made a rock cycle for igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock. Today we got rocks and observed them.
